Tunnel Freezer

Description

‘X-Stream’ in-line freezing tunnel comprising a single modular section complete with a stainless-steel tubed cooling coil. Air will be blown over the cooling coil into a plenum chamber from where it is forced through a series of nozzles to discharge over the product at high velocity creating the impingement effect.

The cooling coil will be served by a Bitzer Low Temperature screw compressor which

is directly driven at 2,900rpm by an electric drive motor. Waste heat is rejected from

the system to atmosphere via an air-cooled condenser. The refrigeration system operates with R449a refrigerant on a direct expansion basis.

The tunnel is constructed from T304-grade stainless steel-clad insulated panels.

The tunnel will comprise a belt having nominal internal dimensions 1400mm wide x

4,100mm long internally,
